In the Policy, “User Information” refers to information that we collect in accordance with the Policy, including information pertaining to user identification, activity history on communication services, and other information generated or accumulated in relation to users or user devices. The User Information collected by the Award in the Services is shown below by collection method.

(1) Information provided by users
Information provided by users in order to use the Services or through the use of the Services is as follows:
- Profile information including name, date of birth, gender, and occupation
- Contact information including Email address, phone number, and address
- Payment information including credit card information, bank account information, and electronic money information
- Photo image information including user portrait
- Information entered or sent by users through input forms or other methods that we specify

(2) Information provided by other services, in cases when a user permits connection with other services in the course of using the Services
When a user permits connection with other services (e.g., social networking services) in the course of using the Services, the following information will be collected from such services, based on the contents agreed upon at the time of permission.
- User ID used for such other services
- Other information that the user permits to disclose, in accordance with the privacy settings of such other services

(3) Information we collect from users in the course of using the Services
We may collect information about user access to the Services and how the Services are used. This may include the following information:
- Referrer
- IP address
- Information about server access logs
- Cookies, ADID, IDFAs, and other identifiers

(4) Information we collect from users in the course of using the Services, in accordance with the individual consent of the user
If the user individually agrees to the method specified in 3-1, we collect the following information from the device in use:
- Location information

Specific purposes of use of User Information in relation to the provision of the Services are:

(1) To provide, maintain, protect, and improve the Services, including registration, identity verification, user authentication, user setting recording, and fee calculation in relation to the Services;
(2) To measure user traffic and behavior;
(3) To distribute, display, and measure the effectiveness of advertisements;
(4) To provide information and respond to inquiries about the Services;
(5) To respond to violations of our terms and conditions, policies, etc. (hereinafter referred to as “the Terms”) related to the Services; and
(6) To notify the users of changes to the Terms of the Services.

3-1 User consent shall be obtained prior to the collection of the following User Information:
- Location information

3-2 Users may request a stop to collection or using all or part of the User Information by changing the setting for the Services, in which case the Award will promptly stop using the User Information as specified by the Award.

4-1 In the Services, the following partners may store cookies on the user devices and use them to accumulate and use User Information:
(1) Partner;
(2) URL for the privacy policy of the aforementioned partner; and
(3) URL for the opt-out form of the aforementioned partner.

4-2 The following information collection modules are embedded in the Services. Accordingly, User Information is given to the following information collection module providers (including those located outside Japan):
(1) Names of the information collection modules;
(2) Providers of the information collection modules;
(3) Items of User Information to be given;
(4) Means and method of provision;
(5) Purpose of use by the aforementioned providers;
(6) Whether the aforementioned providers give the information to a third party; and
(7) URLs for the privacy policy of the aforementioned providers.

The Award will not provide personal information that is contained in the User Information to third parties (including those located outside Japan) without prior consent of the user. However, this does not apply to the cases where provision of personal information to third parties (including those located outside Japan) is necessary for the following reasons:
(1) When we outsource all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope of necessity to achieve the purpose of use;
(2) When personal information is provided due to business succession, caused by merger or other reasons;
(3) When personal information is provided to a partner or information collection module provider in accordance with Paragraph 4;
(4) When it is necessary to cooperate with a government agency, local government, or its entrusted entity carrying out the affairs stipulated by laws and regulations, and obtaining users’ consent may interfere with such affairs; and
(5) When permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Information Protection Law”) and other laws and regulations.

The Award shares personal information of users as follows:
(1) Items in personal information for shared use;
(2) Scope of the personal information users;
(3) Purposes of the personal information users; and
(4) Names or titles of the person responsible for managing personal information.

Upon receiving a request from a user to disclose his/her personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law, the Award shall disclose the personal information to the user without delay, after confirming that the request was made by the user in question (if the personal information in question does not exist, the Award will notify the user to that effect). However, this does not apply to cases where we are not obligated to disclose the information under the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations. Please note that a processing fee (1,000 yen per case) will be charged for the disclosure of personal information.

8-1 In cases when a user makes a request in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law (1) to correct the user’s personal information on the grounds that the information is incorrect, and (2) to suspend the use of the personal information on the grounds that it is being used beyond the pre-defined scope of the purpose of use, or that it was collected through deceptive or other wrongful means, the Award shall: conduct necessary investigations in a timely manner, after confirming that the request was made by the user in question; correct or suspend the use of the personal information based on the investigation results; and notify the user to that effect. If the Award decides not to make corrections or suspension, the user shall be notified about the decision.

8-2 In cases when the Award receives a request from a user to delete the user’s personal information, and if we determine it is necessary to respond to the request, the Award shall delete the personal information after confirming that the request was made by the user in question, and will notify the user to that effect.

8-3 The provisions in 8-1 and 8-2 do not apply if the Award is not obliged to make corrections, suspend use, etc. under the Personal Information Protection Law and other laws and regulations.

The Award may amend the Policy as needed. However, in cases when the amendment to the Policy requires the consent of the users by law, the amended Policy shall be applied only to the users who agreed to the amendment through the method prescribed by the Award. Furthermore, when amending the Policy, the Award shall notify the public or users the enforcement date and amendments of the Policy via the Website or other appropriate method.
